At IPH, people who are suffering from Schizophrenia referred to as "Shubharti" This in Sanskrit means "those who need good blessings!" This support group meets regularly on Wednesdays for those recovering from schizophrenia. (No charges)
This group is for the benefit of those who are in rehabilitation program called TRIDAL. Clinical Psychologists, Dr. Shubha Thatte, Dr. Savita Apte generally handle this group. Various topics for discussion have been charted out to enhance functioning. Input is in the form of discussion rather than in the form of lecture. Group members get a chance to discuss their difficulties (Emotional or practical) which would lead them to solutions rather than being stuck in the difficulties.
