This group provides support to the caregivers of Schizophrenia and meets once a month on the 1st Saturday of the month at 6.00 PM (No charges). Caregivers are called "Shubhankar" which in Sanskrit means "Those who work for the good of others".
The families of schizophrenics suffer because it is very difficult to see someone you love and then trying to make sense of the irrational behavior and thinking causes further stress. Hence the patient is suffering from disorder and the family is suffering from distress. This group aims to help the families cope with the distress while supporting the identified patient through medication and rehabilitation.
